There are many types and styles of coaches. Getting clear on who might be a good match with you can be an exploratory process. Here is a list of questions you might want to ask when evaluating potential coaches.

Questions for self: * What do I want to achieve/what are my goals?

* Am I ready to do the work with a coach? Reflection and potentially hearing unpleasant things * Am I ready to prioritize this time and relationship? (i.e. not cancel and show up prepared) * Do I feel like I can be vulnerable/authentic with the coach (i.e. can I trust them)? Questions for the coach: * What is your coaching style? (or coaching methodology) * What training have you done/graduated from? * What is your personal approach for growth? (i.e. do they have a coach, do they meditate, journal, therapy, etc) * How do you handle confidential information? * What will you share about our conversations and with whom? * How do you screen your clients? When might you say no to someone * What is your coaching specialty? How do you know?
